Consumption
With the fuelprices wie have these days, it is the duty of every car driver to have a look at the values. First of all will these value have a direct impact on your private financial situation. Secondly - the values can give you an idea how the car is doing. If Problems are on their way. In this table yo can see how the consumption values were for my Honda Civic 1.6 ES from 2001.
Be aware that the values depend heavily on the weight of your right foot. Furthermore it depends on how many people are being transported. How much luggage is in the car. The weather and probably a whole lot more reasons. But here are the values I managed to achieve with my Honda
Deviations
This table does have a few things which may have influence on how exact the values are. I have always filled the tank, but I can't guarantee that I have managed to fill it exactly to the same level every time. The Kilometers are without decimals. Having said that, I will claim that the values shown here are statistically good data. The figures are in my humble opinion absolutely OK. Something I and Honda can be proud of. The first 100.000 km were just about al spend on highways. The positive deviations were caused by driving on country roads. The negative deviations were caused by bad weatherconditions.
As per 1st Februar 2009 my life changed dramatically. I got a job where I hardly needed to drive. The trips were shorter why the fuel economy got really bad. The values after 1st Februar 2009 are therefore not comparable.
